I acquired, unknowingly at first, two skulls in which were from animals that had been killed for their pelts. I’m able to get other skulls/ bones from the same person again later on in the year but I’m conflicted.
On one hand, I don’t want bones from animals that have been inhumanely killed. On the other hand, I don’t want their death to be completely in vain and if I can give their remains a happy home, I’d like to do that.
Ugh.
Updates on life.
My job is going well.
I brushed out my dreads and dyed my hair purple.
A friend of mine is building me a spinning wheel.
I don’t crochet as much as I’d like but I’m slowly teaching myself to knit, which is awesome because my grandpa got me a tote of yarn and knitting needles, including dps and circular needles.
That is all.
Look at what Corey got me for my birthday. OH MY (TIME) LORD!
I need to find a frame for this. I want to make little clay TARDIS’s and weeping angels to put around it, too.
I found a bird egg on the ground and returned it to its nest. I hope it still hatches! A while back, my siblings brought me a bucket of bones, this is the skull (I think it’s a raccoon skull…it looks just like the other raccoon skull I have, but slightly bigger). I also washed and dyed some fleece today for my spinning adventures with my aunts on Friday. The blue/ purple cotton candy-looking fleece didn’t come out nearly as pretty as I’d hoped, but I still like it. The pink looks a lot prettier in person.

Instant gratification knitting!
It’s sooo satisfying to be able to turn something out quickly after working on several long haul projects. I whipped up this hat in an evening and even though it is a super simple design I still love it.
The yarn is “Hand Made by Sei”. I picked up on Sunday at Moorit in Tokyo. Moorit is a lovely little yarn shop on the 4th floor of a new shopping center called Kitte near Tokyo Station. I think I am going to have to start going to Tokyo Station more often now to visit Moorit for yarn, Maruzen for books in English and then a bit of froyo.
Back to the yarn, it is super soft and squishy. The fiber is from the half-bred breed of sheep. I love the rough and knobbly look of it especially in the finished product.
My favorite part of the hat is the carved horn button. It was a christmas gift from my mom. I am really excited to wear this hat but I’m going to have to be patient because the weather is really starting to heat up here!
